FIRST SEYCHELLES AMBASSADOR ACCREDITED TO THE REPUBLIC OF HUNGARY

Seychelles Resident Ambassador in Brussels, Ms. Vivianne Fock Tave, became the first Seychelles Ambassador to the Republic of Hungary when she presented her credentials to President Pal Schmitt in a ceremony held last month on 22nd February.

“Cooperation between Hungary, a Member State of the European Union since 2004, and Seychelles has great potential. For example, the Republic of Hungary has many reputable universities offering courses in English. Due to the cost efficiency of studying in Hungary compared to other countries, many international students, including those from the EU Member States, are making use of such opportunities. We should consider doing so too, especially in such courses not currently being offered by the University of Seychelles,” remarked the newly accredited Seychelles Ambassador.

Seychelles and the Republic of Hungary established diplomatic relations in 1977. Since then, many Seychellois students have studied in the historical city of Budapest.
